Childrens Book – Just published!

Boulette cover image with title

A childrens e-book about a Jack Russell who discovers that his fear of change holds many suprises for him – a fun story for kids to learn about how life changes can become a happy experience. Since Boulette is an American dog who ‘became’ French, the photos’ captions are in English and French. A story that makes bi-lingual language learning fun for kids and a true bedtime backstory for adults to enjoy as well.

I found this book shared in Kim’s life simply, openly, and warmly. We are invited into her world and share with her the journeys she embarks on in short snippets. The one thing I would like is to hear more! More to the book…or just more books! 🙂 Thanks for the great read!! Inspiring and hopeful.

KD paperback coverReview:

The author’s love of France shines through in this remarkable travel book, and so does her comprehensive knowledge of the riviera. When you think of the south of France, you don’t automatically link it with a holiday for children, but this book certainly breaks down that barrier. As well as a valuable resource for parents, the book has also whetted my appetite, and Kim has sold the region to my wife and I. We’re all going on a summer holiday! – C.B.

What’s on your bookshelf?

The music featured in this book series video composed by my French father-in-law, who even wrote lyrics based on my book, Solitary Desire – One Woman’s Journey to France. I am touched by his thoughtfulness and gesture of love.

A Nice Visit to Nice

A friend from the U.S., who I hadn’t seen in about six years, recently visited Nice and also visited me. It was great catching up on the latest news of recent life events – wow, life can be hectic & challenging in a short period of time!

Before we started chatting, though, he said to me “You look great – and happy – it exudes from you!”  A nice compliment indeed, and I instantly realized that well….yes, I AM happy. Not that I take it for granted, but I guess I had stopped thinking about it on a conscious level.

What IS it exactly that he saw (other than my happiness about seeing him)? What IS that soulful, bliss that we all seem to search for?  Is happiness an elusive solitary desire OR is it achieved by design?

QUOTES:

“I believe that we are who we choose to be. Nobody’s going to come and save you, you’ve got to save yourself. Nobody’s going to give you anything. You’ve got to go out and fight for it. Nobody knows what you want except for you, and nobody will be as sorry as you if you don’t get it. So don’t give up on your dreams. Stand up and make them happen. You have to dream hard, wish big, and chase after your goals, because no one else is going to do it for you. And even if things don’t work out, you’ll always be able to say you tried.”  (Unknown)

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life, think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” (Swami Vivekananda)

“Simplicity is the key to brilliance.” (Bruce Lee)
